De Nobili Schools are managed by the members of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits). They are assisted by a team of dedicated teachers, staff and Religious sisters. The Jesuits are active in the field of education throughout the world. In India they have established many schools and colleges in which young people, belonging to every community, are being educated through the medium of English and other regional languages. De Nobili School is affiliated to the council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations. The council has received statutory recognition from the Government of India as one of the main All India School Examining bodies.
We not only focus on academics but also on the extra-curriculars of the students. Our students organize and participate in various competitions and events like debate contest, mechatlon, essay writing, etc. Through extra-curiculars students acquire the ablity to showcase their talents.
A school is a place where a child enters at a small age and is moulded into a full adult by the time he/she graduates. So, a school may also be called the second home for the student. So, here every care is taken to make the child feel like he is at home.Classes are specially designed for kindergarden students to suit their age.Teachers are specially trained to take proper care of kids.
No knowledge is complete without practical experience. After all how our brain can remember more by doing rather then reading. For this purpose practical labs are provided to students to conduct practical experiments to enhance the knowledge of the pupils.School provides with physics, chemistry and biology labs. The school also has three high-tech computer labs for the convinience of the students.
International Policy
We at De Nobili CMRI a pioneering Jesuit school strive to provide best quality education to every section of the society without favour or bias to bring out the hidden talents even from amongst the most under privileged members of the local coal mining community. The school provides a congenial atmosphere and makes learning fun, interesting and enriching in keeping with the visions of our National Poet, Gurudev Rabindra Nath Tagore the First Non European Nobel Laureate in Literature.
Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high
Where knowledge is free
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments
By narrow domestic walls
Where words come out from the depth of truth
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way
Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit
Where the mind is led forward by thee
Into ever-widening thought and action
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.
To ensure that ‘the world has(is) not been broken up into fragments By narrow domestic walls’ we make every effort to imbibe an international dimension to our curriculum so as to initiate our students to various global issues and sensitize them to ensure Sustainable Development For All. This is nothing new to Indian culture and tradition because from ages we have believed in Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (a Sanskrit phrase that means that the whole world is one single family).
Aims & Objectives
`v To develop awareness about pressing international issues.
v To expose and sensitize children to this multi cultural, multi lingual and multi religious World.
v To carry out collaborative projects with International Partner Schools.
Deliverables
ü Enrich the school curriculum by developing inter personal skills.
ü Imbibe the ethos of sustainable consumption and peaceful co-existence not only between man and man but also between man and nature.
ü Set the young minds free from bondages of pride and prejudice and make them responsible global citizen.
ü Carve a niche for ourselves in the international commune.
ü Achieve Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam in the truest sense.
Our objective is to work for the all around development of students. This means that they remain open and committed both to the divine Spirit and to their fellowmen. They must show this by being actively concerned about national development. A successful graduate from a Jesuit School should comprise the following characteristic: intellectually competent, morally sound, spiritually oriented, willing to serve, committed to doing justice and open to further growth.
